Website, Book Trailer, and Publication, Oh My!

Hello Everyone,

I’m back! First, I want to wish everyone a wonderful autumn season. I know it officially hasn’t started yet, but where I’m from, it has. This is my favorite season of the year because it embodies so much of my favorite things; sweaters, jeans, FOOTBALL, beer, popcorn, burning leaves, mulled wine and so much more. I’m sure some of you are shaking your heads no, dreading the cold that will creep back into our lives soon.

Even though my blog has slept, I have been busy behind the scenes. On a personal level, my Love returned to Germany because he didn’t find a job. I’m still looking for a job too and working on my writing life. *drum roll*

I have officially launched my “author website.” This is a task I’ve been working on for months. It’s amazing how you think you have it completed and then you find a grammatical error, or something isn’t working properly. I’ve tested and tested, but I finally have to understand that it will look different on others' computers.

Stop on by and visit my author website.

Along with my website, I’ve been working on my book trailer for my poetry e-book. I have never created a trailer and I wasn’t quite sure how I should put it together. Most book trailers give short synopses of their book. I couldn’t quite do that with a poetry book, so I put in some lines from my poetry. You can find the trailer on my website, but here’s the YouTube video.

This is the beginning of my writing promotion and I would truly appreciate it if you could share my information with anyone and everyone.

Have a great day!

  1. Excellent start to your website, trailer and publication. lol

  2. Thanks much, Richard...and I appreciate your follow.

  3. Just totally awesome website!!! Website well laid out, design and content very impressive to me. The visual effects and graphics you created really kept my interest up and made it a pleasure to view. I can just see a lot of work went it to it and it's cool! I liked the poems promo the various travel scenes (great photos!), the methods of showing the pictures and the background songs you added. The web links to your past works were a great idea as well. I'll certainly share this website with others.

Looking forward to your future publications.

  4. Veejay!!!

Thank you, thank you, thank you! I can’t tell you how much that means to me to hear what you thought of the website and trailer and that you found my content and design was well laid out. I wanted my website to be straightforward with easy navigation.

Again, your input means much to me. From the bottom of my heart, I'm truly touched.

  5. This is awesome!!! I am so proud of you love ya!!!!

  6. Welcome back!

I've finally gotten the chance to experience your author website. Congratulations on getting it all up and running. I agree with veejay: impressive! Nicely organized and full of great information. (I had no idea your grandfather was a published poet! It's in the genes. :D) Also, I'll have to check out that pole-dancing article! LOL

I love the music you chose for the background of your trailer. It somehow fits right into the themes exactly right.

Whew... you've been a busy girl. Maybe busy enough to not be too sad that your beau is out of the states for a while?? Only joking. I know, no matter what, it has to be hard to be separated.

Looking forward to seeing lots more from you, Denise! Great job!

  7. Thanks, Barb!

I appreciate your kind words along with Veejay's. Well, I’ve only learned of my great-grandfather’s writing endeavors in my adulthood.

Yes, I think the music with the visuals was needed for my poetry e-book trailer.

Ah…yes…I’ve been busy, but for some reason or another, things seem to be moving quite slow in my life.

Once again, your time and comments are always appreciated.
