'Twas the Day after Christmas!

I hope everyone had a joyous Christmas. My Christmas was full of food, family and fun. We have not been together much lately due to our hectic lives, so Christmas Eve and Christmas were especially wonderful for me.

Presents this year mainly consisted of personal things, and I want to share one of them with you. My brother is an excellent videographer, who owns his own business called Photoplay Productions. He videotaped my nephew, David singing When Christmas Comes to Town from the Polar Express. David sang it A cappella and then my brother fit the song to it and added additional camera effects. Of course I cried the entire time watching it because it’s such a precious gift, and I’m not only talking about this video but my nephew.

May the rest of your holiday be full of wonder and excitement.

  1. Hi Bea!
Thanks for the quiz. I appreciate your quizzes as they are fun! After submitting my answers to your quiz. I happened to see the movie again on TV on Christmas Eve. The movie was more interesting at the points your questions covered. How cool!
As far as prize choices, without question my choice is number) 2. A tour with you of Chicago is the best prize. I would very much like to see the Chicago sites as a visitor even though I have worked in Chicago for quite some time. In my case as strange as that might sound, it has been my situation of a daily going back and forth to work without really seeing Chicago. At times I have been asked which hotel is the best to stay at in Chicago, unfortunately I said I didn’t know as I never visited Chicago I only work there.LOL! I have never had a chance to see the sites as if I was a visitor. Please let me know if I have this opportunity of the tour with you. As I said it is the best prize, especially Chicago sites being described by a writer would be most interesting.

  2. Hi Veejay,

I'm glad you think the quizzes are fun. I'd be happy to give you a tour of Chicago. *Looks in file for tour guides* It will be a good time, but I'm going to suggest maybe a tour when it warms up a bit? At the present time, I still can't feel my toes. I'll contact you soon.

    Have a Happy New Year!

  3. Hey Bea Thanks!
Yes warmer weather, perhaps the true start of Spring would be best for a Chicago tour. If you are planning to select a tour guide. Spare the expense, your Blog posts are enough of a reward for me. As you know I would have been delighted if you would be giving the tour. You have provided a good thought of me seeing the sites of my own city. I am not working but in my spare time (I believe a happy retired person has no time.) it’s in my plans do this. As part of some humor I get many calls at home from some that would pretend to be charities. I have answered all incoming calls and responded that I am out of work. (By answering I hope they will stop calling.) It appears to have quieted them in this poor economy environment, except for the police fund raiser who wanted to put me on a time payment plan. LOL!
Hey Bea how about Helium? I seems to be stuck at number 30. I’d like to see more articles posted (Please!).
The very best of a Happy New Year to you with great writing success, recognition and everything else you wish for!

  4. Hi Veejay,

No, I wasn’t planning on getting a tour guide. I’ll be your tour guide. I love those charity calls, and the retirement plan calls. I’ve been getting things from AARP since I turned 25.

I know, I know. I’ve neglected Helium because I’ve been doing behind the scenes writing, and joined another writing place. Oh, and a few of my poems will be published in early 2010. I’ll let you know. Thanks again for all your kind words and support. I couldn’t have this blog without my faithful readers.

    Happy New Year!

  5. Hi Bea,
I’m just delighted that you will be the tour guide. As you can tell I misread your previous comment. I get so easily confused. LOL!
I’m really looking forward to the tour.
    Thanks!!
