A Different View

I decided to take some pictures of what I see when walking to and from the train for work. My commute to work is about 50 minutes door-to-door with the luxury of only walking 1-1/2 blocks to the train and about 4 blocks to work. These pictures aren’t extraordinary, but I’m sure they are different from what others see. What made me do this were the Barack Obama banners hanging around town. Yesterday, I grabbed my camera to take a picture of a banner and wound up taking more. Hope you enjoy them.

  1. Thanks for sharing these photos. I am always interested in what it is like to live in other cities. I've never lived in a downtown area before, I've wondered what it is like to walk to restaurants and stores. Very cool!

  2. Hey Turkey! Thanks for stopping by. I love looking at pictures of different places. Sometimes being in a big city, I wish I was somewhere quiet and full of nature's fragrances. Take care.

  5. I'll be remembering the German food recommendation - yum. And I weirdly happen to know (from researching for an upcoming Loop post) that the sculpture thing is called Flamingo. Go figure!

  6. You need food suggestions, let me know, food is my friend. :D Flamingo, huh? Looks more like a spider to me. Thanks for the information.

  7. I've never been to Chicago and love your photographs. It looks like a really nice city, a little chic maybe? As a fellow coffee drinker, also like your Java icon!

  8. Hi Joanne! Thanks so much. It is a nice EXPENSIVE city.

I just went to your blog and LOVE the title. When I started mine, I didn’t put much thought into the title. By the way, I recently visited Mystic, CT. Very cute town.

I appreciate you stopping by and commenting.
