Wish Me Luck!

Sat and wondered
Whether I should try,
Excuses, a hundred
Finally answer why.

Chances the same
For everyone else,
First prize to claim
Send out, check pulse.

Five of my verse
Are now enroute,
Each one diverse
Done! Don’t doubt.

Today, I entered my first poetry contest with the Boston Review. I’m nervous about it, but I’m sure as time goes on it will fade. If you get a chance, please wish me luck and send a prayer. :)

  6. Bea,

The very best of luck. Your poems that I’ve read so far are really good!! I think it’s a just a matter of time that I won’t be reading new ones for free. Even so my prayers are in for you to be the winning poet. : )
